Telescope Rental Agreement
The Lehigh Valley Amateur Astronomical Society (LVAAS) has several telescopes available for rental by its full members in good standing. Reservations are on first come first served basis and may be made in advance by contacting the Coordinator of Telescope Rentals. The period of rental is approximately one month from the clubs general meeting to the following general meeting, or if other arrangements can be accommodated.
The cost of rental includes a rental fee plus deposit (check). The deposit (check) is refunded to the renter when the telescope is returned on time and undamaged. Failure to return the telescope on time will result in forfeit of the deposit. If the rental is unable to attend the meeting for the scheduled return of the telescope, alternate arrangements must be made by contacting the Coordinator of Telescope Rentals prior to the day of the meeting. If unable to contact the Coordinator of Telescope Rentals, contact the Director of Observatories.
The renter accepts all responsibilities for proper transportation and storage of telescope during the rental period, and accepts responsibility of damage to rental equipment, which is incurred during the rental period. Cost for replacement or repair of damage will be assessed as appropriate. If there are any problems with the equipment, please contact the Coordinator of Telescope Rentals. Please DO NOT attempt to clean any optics.

Telescope Rental and Return Policy
1. To rent a telescope, see the Coordinator of Telescope Rentals at the LVAAS general meeting, or if other arrangements can be accommodated. Email to: Mike Clark or Simon Porter.
2. Fill out two (2) copies of this form along with the rental fee and deposit
3. Return the telescope to the coordinator of telescope rentals on or before the scheduled return date as indicated below. Deposit will be refunded at that time.
