"The Wall" in Cygnus | ||

Part of the North America nebula in Cygnus, "The Wall" is the West Coast of the Mexico and Central America part of the nebula. The gas clouds in The Wall are very active star-forming regions. The "Gulf of Mexico" is a very dense dark nebula, obscuring all but a few foreground stars. Imaged at Pulpit Rock, early morning June 2, 2014. Astro-Tech AT-111EDT, SBIG 8300C camera, iOptron iEQ45 mount. OSC, 70 minutes total integration time (planned for 120, but the clouds intervened. |
