A wide field Sagittarius or Messier's favorite hunting ground
From my last trip to Cherry Springs, wringing out the bugs in my EOS lens adapter for my QSI CCD camera. A view towards the center of our galaxy in the Sagittarius region. Visible among the star clouds the “Great Rift” in Sagittarius, Messier Objects M16 (Eagle Nebula), M17(Swan or Omega Nebula), M25, M23, M20(Trifid Nebula), M22 and M8(Lagoon Nebula) among others. Also a little late in the season as the tree line is visible in the lower right hand corner.

Canon EOS-S 17-55 2.8 at about 35mm @F4 QSI 583ws Baader LRGB filters. Lodestar guide camera on a WO ZS80, Skywatcher HEQ-5 mount.

RGB 20 x 2 minutes each unbinned.
Aquired in Astroart, stacked, dark frames applied in DSS and processed in Adobe Photoshop
