Jupiter on Night of July 18th/19th after the star party.
Unfortunately, Mike Clarke and I were not in time to observe 'something' apparently slam into Jupiter. 10 hours after this picture was taken, this particular face of Jupiter is pointing at those awfully nice people in Australia. Photo's taken then show a large black scar appear in the South Polar Region, (the area at the top of this picture). People are theorizing that an asteroid or other lump of stuff hit Jupiter sometime between 7am (UT) when I took this photo, and 15:15pm (UT) when the Australian pictures were taken.
