Just wanted to remind everyone that our first proposed date for the field portion of the Polar Aignment workshop is approaching. The date is Friday, May 19th with a rain date of Sat. May 20th. Since it doesn't get dark until 8:30-9:00 pm I suggest we meet at 8pm at South Mt. (Sunset is 8:15pm and there a is last qtr moon).
The purpose of this workshop is to practice polar alignment by the three methods discussed in the classroom session. You will use your own equipment, with whatever group help is necessary, to set-up and polar align your scopes. Those who missed the first session can still participate as I'm sure there will be enough help available to bring you up to speed.
Please let me know ASAP if you are planning on atteding this workshop.
Let's hope for clear skies on the 19th.
