Kudos to Mark Tillotson for contacting our neighbors in the AT&T building. While at South Mountain on a weekday morning Mark noticed several cars at the building and knocked on the door. He was able to speak to the person handling the maintenance for this location and discuss the lights that face our property.

They discussed our need for dark skies and AT&T's need for security. As it turns out 2 lights on the building needed repair and the person at AT&T said they would add shielding to their work order for the lights. Currently the lights are out pending the installation of the shielding. Mark also invited this person and his family to join us at our star party this weekend.

Thanks Mark and to our new friends at AT&T

Way to go Mark!!

This posting reminded me of a question I had.

I'm a member of the Emmaus Rotary club and each week we have a 20 minute presentation at our meeting. Is there someone in the club that would be willing to do a light pollution presentation to our club?

Feel free to email me directly at ELoch@rcn.com

Thanks,

Eric Loch

I'll ask around - Mike Aulenbach is our light abatement officer. He may be able to help you out.
