Good evening,

I was able to catch a glimpse of the Space shuttle and ISS going over this evening. Pretty cool and bright. Anyone thinking of observing at South Mtn. this Fri. or Sat.? The skies are predicted to be clear and the Moon doesn't rise until after midnight.

Good morning Bill,

I just checked Clear Sky Clock for Sat. and it looks very good. Were you thinking South Mtn. or Pulpit rock?

I could be persuaded to go up to Pulpit Rock Saturday if anyone else is.

Saturday, tonight, doesn’t look good. Last night was very nice, but no success. My GPDX mount went neurotic. Sunday could be good and I may go out in the back yard again.

Hello Lynn,
Looks like it might be one of those nights when a lot of moisture is put up during the day and everything clears out by 10:00 PM. Then again, if a front is pushing through all bets are off.
I feel your pain with the mount, good luck.

Bummer.

Clear sky clock doesn't look for tonight at all. Darn, I was looking forward to really nice skies tonight. Guess I'll have to open that bottle of Pinot and look out the window.

5:30 PM - Just spoke with Mike Morgan and he's on his way up to Pulpit right now - expects to be there by 7:00 and give it a chance. I expect to be there about the same time.

Hope things went well at Pulpit.

Just came in from the backyard around Midnight. I was hoping to see some galaxy's in Virgo. No luck though. Could barely see M53.

Skies opened up at about 9:30. Very good night "naked eye Pluto".
